Dated to the late 18th century, Louis XVI Languedoc red marble fireplace ornately encrusted, on the lintel, white Carrara marble tablets presenting, in the middle cartridge, of a cassolette accompanied by a branches and rosettes at the ends of the lintel. The fluted jamb also features white Carrara marble. These marble plaque inlaid highlight very elegant way neoclassical style of the fireplace. Fire slab measuring 53 x 16.5 in. Origin: Old private hotel of Elie de Rothschild rue de Courcelles Paris 8e.
