Description
Saint Cecilia. 
Patron saint of musicians and embroiderers. (200-230 BC). 
She lived in Sicily between 176 and 180, under the emperor Marcus Aurelius, she was condemned to martyrdom, after having converted many people, including her husband. 
Here represented playing the organ surrounded by angels. 
19th century. 
Oil on canvas, burnished wood frame.
