DESCRIPTION :
Dated from the 17th century, Louis XIV stone fireplace. The monolith lintel rests on the jambs via corbels. The cornice presents multiple setbacks. A genre scene, very atypical, depicting characters in period attire standing in a kitchen, is carved in perspective on the lintel. One can see there the lady of the house in ceremonial dress, surely giving the order to her two kitchen clerks to serve a dinner to the soldier who is near the cooking pot.
Origin: Rosières aux Salines.
