DESCRIPTION :
Dated from the late 19th century, Ca. 1890, cast iron statue representing Cinderella, from Salin foundry. The young girl, wearing a bun and dressed in rags, delicately rests his head on his hand. Next to his bare feet, dragged a ball of wool. On the statue is engraved "Salin France".

Created in 1806, during the transition from craft to industry by VIVAUX brothers, the company was bought in 1875 by Auguste SALIN. A long time focused on implementation of locomotive engine ,  the company will realize more ornamental molding.

Another statue, in the same vein as our Cinderella, exists at the Josaphat Park in Schaerbeek Belgium, by sculptor Edmond LEFEVER (1839-1911).
