Dated from the 17th century, Louis 14 cast iron fireplace showing armorial bearings of the Choiseul house. The coat of arms is in the center of the fireback and two Hercules armed with mace surround the blazon. This plaque certainly belonged to a bishop because there is also a cross and a crosier, a distinctive sign of his belonging to the clergy. Similar fireback where one can see the published coat of arms in CARPENTIER H., Plaques de cheminées, Tome 1, F. DE NOBELE, Paris, 1967, p. 244-245, No. 679 and 680.
